Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a Building Maintenance professional at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, full-time, within the Facilities department.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, perform upgrades, and maintain compliance with NFPA, NEC, and TJC codes, while supporting energy management across sites. Health benefits, retirement plans, and growth opportunities are offered.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Troubleshoots complex system failures, installs electrical upgrades, and proposes long-term component strategies aimed at maximizing facility cost savings.
  • Authoring and executes preventative maintenance schedules and monthly reports to ensure all electrical infrastructure complies with NFPA, NEC, and TJC codes.
  • Responds to after-hours safety emergencies and develops departmental contingency protocols for power outages while maintaining tools, vehicles, and PPE safety standards.
  • Coordinates energy management systems and potentially travels across a defined region as a dedicated technician to perform multi-site electrical services and billing tasks.
  • Serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for lower-level electricians, leads department orientations for new hires, and manages high-level special projects.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Relevant License

Must have one or more of the following:

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduate of trade school and 3 years’ experience
  • 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
