Job summary

MISTRAS Group is actively seeking an Electrician – Heat Trace Isolation / CUI Support to backstop CUI inspection and refurbishment on Alaska's North Slope. You will safely perform electrical isolation, de-energization, verification, and restoration of heat tracing systems to enable CUI crews to conduct inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations and maintenance, reading electrical drawings, troubleshooting heat tracing, and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid State Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Experience with electric heat tracing systems.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work a rotational schedule on Alaska’s North Slope.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical energy isolation and restoration of heat tracing systems.
• Verify zero-energy states and document isolation activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, and CUI personnel.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, heat trace schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Troubleshoot electrical heat tracing systems and identify deficiencies.
• Support planning and scheduling to ensure timely access for CUI inspections and repairs.
• Assist with commissioning and functional verification after restoration.
• Maintain records of isolations, testing, repairs, and restoration activities.
• Follow site electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout, and client procedures.
• Support Electronics Technicians with instrumentation and electrical maintenance as needed.
