Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrician to join the critical infrastructure team in Hawthorne, CA. The role involves designing, building, activating, and maintaining state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with autonomous problem-solving and project management capabilities.

You will work with infrastructure engineers and technicians to support space technology goals and ensure zero unplanned downtime in services for employees and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience in commercial equipment wiring, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical support equipment on facilities systems including transformers, panels, substations, switch gear, UPS, sag correctors, ATS, generators, and fly wheels.
• Perform electrical modifications, install wiring and components to design specs.
• Perform safety inspections and report recommendations.
• Test electrical circuits and operation of test equipment.
• Follow building codes, regulations, and laws.
