Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience in commercial equipment wiring, maintenance, and repair

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition and develop/update detailed work instructions for proper equipment preventive maintenance.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical support equipment on facilities systems including transformers, panels, substations, switch gear, UPS, sag correctors, ATS, generators and flywheels.
• Perform electrical modifications, install wiring and components to design and code specifications.
• Perform failure assessments and day-to-day safety inspections with recommendations to the supervisor.
• Hands-on shop work or on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, troubleshooting, reassembly and testing of electrical equipment.
• Present information on equipment maintenance statuses for internal and external customers.
• Open, track and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX systems.
• Follow site compliance with SpaceX, local, state, and federal codes and laws.
• Troubleshoot new and existing electrical systems, including machinery.
• Read and use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Test electrical circuits for operability, phase rotation and conductivity.
• Operate test equipment like volt/ohmmeters, meggers and circuit tracers.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
