Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Designer (Construction) in Hawthorne, CA to design and activate high-power electrical systems for new facilities. You will work with construction engineers, architects, trade partners, and internal customers to deliver critical infrastructure that supports manufacturing and mission goals.

The role emphasizes autonomy, multi-project management, and collaboration to drive real global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience working on electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS's, and/or generators.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical power distribution systems for facilities.
• Support construction engineers and technicians with electrical design, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Coordinate installations with utilities and ensure code compliance (NFPA 70E/70 NEC/AFSPCMAN 91-710/IBC).
• Provide engineering support for load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, and grounding.
• Ensure interfaces with mechanical systems and stay within power budgets.
