Job summary

ISC Constructors, LLC is seeking a positive, energetic Seasoned Electrician for its Small Caps Division. The candidate will fabricate and install conduit, wire and cable, and perform MCC/switchgear work while following NFPA 70E safety standards.

Requirements include a Texas Electrical License, TWIC, and NCCER assessment; pre-employment drug/background checks are required. Excellent wages and full benefits accompany this full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years craft-specific experience.
• Valid Texas Electrical License required.
• TWIC Card and NCCER Skill Assessment as part of pre-employment requirements.
• Must pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.
• Excellent physical dexterity and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install conduit (rigid, EMT, aluminum, PVC).
• Use hydraulic benders (2”–4”).
• Install wire and cable in cable trays and terminations.
• Perform MCC and switchgear work.
• Read blueprints and NEC requirements.
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls.
• Size and install breakers, fuses, and transformers.
• Terminate motors and transformers; read schematics.

Job description

The Position

We are looking for a positive, energetic, Seasoned ELECTRICIAN for our Small Caps Division, with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Experience working in accordance with NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations

• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
