Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Pascagoula is seeking positive, energetic electricians to join their team. Responsibilities include fabricating and installing conduit, wiring, and components, as well as performing troubleshooting on motor controls. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of craft-specific experience, be familiar with national electric code, and successfully pass both drug/alcohol testing and background checks. The Position

We are looking for positive, energetic electricians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Fabricate and install conduit supports
• Install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Perform MCC and switchgear work
• Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Use hydraulic tools properly
• Read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Use electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000‑volt insulation tester
• Understand communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment
• Pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
• Have minimum 4 years craft‑specific experience
