Job summary

ISC Constructors, L.L.C. is seeking an Electrician to join our field team. The candidate will fabricate and install conduit, read blueprints, and perform MCC and switchgear work on client sites across Texas and beyond.

You will install wire and cable in trays, troubleshoot energized motor controls, and ensure code compliance with NEC and OSHA standards. A strong multi-skill capability is essential. We require a Texas Electrical License, TWIC card, and NCCER assessment, plus 4 years of craft

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install conduit (rigid, aluminum, EMT, PVC) and conduit supports
• Install wire and cable in cable trays by hand or machine
• Perform MCC and switchgear work and troubleshoot energized motor controls
• Size and terminate motors, transformers, and related equipment
• Read blueprints and apply NEC requirements
• Use electrical testers (VOM, AMPMeter, insulation tester) to verify circuits and safety

Job description

The Position:

We are looking for a positive, energetic Electricianwith a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment DISA drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
