Job summary

Wis-Pak in Norfolk, NE is seeking an Electrician to support our maintenance team and keep plant operations safe and reliable. You will perform electrical installations and diagnose issues, working with the Maintenance Manager to minimize downtime and keep production flowing.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Electrician license, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and knowledge of industrial motor controls. PLC experience with Allen-Bradley systems is a plus, and you must be able to communicate

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • 3–5 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial motor controls and safety codes.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley systems and PLCs preferred.
  • Clear communication with coworkers, leadership, and contractors.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Shift/Work Schedule: 6:00pm-2:30am, Monday-Sunday availability

Pay range: $33.10/hr + $1.75 Shift Differential

What You’ll Do:

As an Electrician, you’ll work closely with our Maintenance Manager or Lead to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Performing electrical installations and maintenance using industry best practices
  • Diagnosing and resolving equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime
  • Responding to maintenance calls and safely starting up or shutting down equipment
  • Repairing or replacing electrical components in compliance with local and state codes
  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks and keeping accurate records
  • Reading and working from instructions, sketches, and blueprints
  • Operating equipment and supporting general plant operations when needed
  • Safely using tools such as power tools, electrical test meters, welding equipment, and lifts
  • Ordering parts, estimating repair timelines, and documenting maintenance work
  • Partnering with outside contractors and technical experts when needed
  • Following all safety, food safety, sanitation, and plant regulations

What You’ll Bring:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and technical training (or equivalent experience)
  • A Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent certification)

  • Experience with Allen Bradley systems and/or PLC programming (preferred)

  • Flexibility to handle changing workloads, emergency call-ins, and occasional travel
