Job summary

Nortera, a leader in North America’s ready-to-cook vegetables, is seeking an electrical maintenance professional. You will repair electrical equipment, assist operators with troubleshooting, and maintain PLC-driven processes in a fast-paced facility.

You will read blueprints, work with electrical systems, and perform equipment overhauls as needed. Experience with building services and electrical diagnostics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with building services such as water, heating, electrical, gas.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and facility electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical system jargon.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and setup/optimization of sorters.
• Troubleshoot PLC and process automation and perform maintenance (experience preferred).
• Modify blueprints after changes to equipment.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

• Pay or shift range: $25 USD to $35 USD

Your daily role

You’ll invest the majority of your time in these key areas:

• Make repairs to all electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and sorters set up and optimization.
• PLC and process automation troubleshooting and maintenance (experience preferred)
• Change and modify blueprints after changes and modifications have been made to equipment.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

Your profile

• Must be familiar with building services such as water, heating, electrical, gas, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical circuits and the facility electrical system.
• Knowledge of technical manuals and jargon associated with the electrical system operation, adjustment and repair.
• Knowledge in the use of the following instruments/equipment: voltmeter, ohm meter, ammeter, lathe, calipers, milling machine, drill press, grinder, pipe threading equipment, taps and dies, band saw, metal break and all other related hand tools.
