Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to join our North America team at our Kentucky facility. You will interpret blueprints, modify drawings to suit plant needs, and lead small projects while maintaining equipment and schedules.

You will diagnose malfunctions and perform installations and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems. The role offers competitive wages with shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts, full benefits, 401(k) with match, and opportunities for overtime

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, installation, maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of maintenance hand tools and shop equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Knowledge of oxygen acetylene and welding equipment.
• Ability to assemble/disassemble and overhaul hydraulic pumps and valves.
• Ability to fit and adjust chains and sprockets for drive units.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and construct equipment from blueprints and drawings; modify drawings for plant needs.
• Identify components and request replacements; lead small projects and provide autonomous shift support.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules for areas of authority.
• Install, maintain and adjust various machinery and components in the facility.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions with or without blueprints or manuals.

• Pay or shift range: $25 USD to $33 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Pay range: $25 to $33 an hour

Your daily role:

• Interpret and construct equipment from blueprints and construction drawings. Must be able to modify drawings to fit plant requirements.
• Identify components and request replacement parts when required. Lead small projects and provide autonomous support for shift needs.
• Responsible for keeping preventative maintenance records and schedules for areas of authority.
• Perform proper installation, maintenance, and adjustments of various machinery and components in the facility.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and machinery with or without the aid of blueprints, operations manuals or schematics.

Your profile:

• Knowledge of all mechanical equipment, installation, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of maintenance hand tools and shop equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical equipment (ie: micrometers, calipers, metal gauges, metal thickness)
• Knowledge of oxygen acetylene equipment and welding equipment
• Ability to assemble, disassemble, and overhaul hydraulic pumps, relief valves, regulating valves, filters, lines, actuating cylinders, and motors
• Ability to fit and adjust chains and sprockets for drive units
