Job summary

Nortera is seeking an on-site Electrical Maintenance Technician to support its Wisconsin plant. You will repair electrical equipment, assist operators, and troubleshoot PLC and automation systems to optimize performance.

You will read blueprints, modify equipment as needed, and overhaul systems within your area, contributing to safe, reliable operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Familiar with building services (water, heating, electrical, gas).
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and facility electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical jargon.
• Experience using common shop tools and measurement instruments listed above.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and setup.
• Troubleshoot PLC and process automation; maintenance preferred.
• Change and modify blueprints after equipment changes.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

Your daily role

• Make repairs to all electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and sorters set up and optimization.
• PLC and process automation troubleshooting and maintenance (experience preferred)
• Change and modify blueprints after changes and modifications have been made to equipment.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

Your profile

• Must be familiar with building services such as water, heating, electrical, gas, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical circuits and the facility electrical system.
• Knowledge of technical manuals and jargon associated with the electrical system operation, adjustment and repair.
• Knowledge in the use of the following instruments/equipment: voltmeter, ohm meter, ammeter, lathe, calipers, milling machine, drill press, grinder, pipe threading equipment, taps and dies, band saw, metal break and all other related hand tools.
