Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. in the United States is seeking skilled maintenance staff to support our plant operations. You will repair electrical equipment, assist operators, troubleshoot PLCs, adjust blueprints, and overhaul machinery.

Qualifications

• Familiar with building services (water, heating, electrical, gas, etc.).
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and facility electrical system.
• Familiarity with technical manuals and jargon related to electrical operation, adjustment and repair.
• Experience using common workshop instruments: voltmeter, ohm meter, ammeter, lathe, calipers, milling machine, drill press, grinder, threading tools, band saw, metal break and similar hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and setup/optimization of sorters.
• Troubleshoot PLC and process automation; assist maintenance tasks (experience preferred).
• Change/modify blueprints after equipment changes.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

Your daily role

You'll invest the majority of your time in these key areas:

• Make repairs to all electrical equipment as needed.
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting and sorters set up and optimization.
• PLC and process automation troubleshooting and maintenance (experience preferred)
• Change and modify blueprints after changes and modifications have been made to equipment.
• Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility.

Your profile

• Knowledge of technical manuals and jargon associated with the electrical system operation, adjustment and repair.
• Knowledge in the use of the following instruments/equipment: voltmeter, ohm meter, ammeter, lathe, calipers, milling machine, drill press, grinder, pipe threading equipment, taps and dies, band saw, metal break and all other related hand tools.
