A leading food company in New York, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform installation and maintenance of machinery. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and troubleshooting skills. This position offers competitive wages of $25 to $33 per hour, along with various benefits including health insurance and retirement savings. Formación

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical equipment.
• Experience with oxygen acetylene and welding equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery.

Pay range:

$25 to $33 an hour

Your daily role:

• Interpret and construct equipment from blueprints and construction drawings. Must be able to modify drawings to fit plant requirements.
• Identify components and request replacement parts when required. Lead small projects and provide autonomous support for shift needs.
• Responsible for keeping preventative maintenance records and schedules for areas of authority.
• Perform proper installation, maintenance, and adjustments of various machinery and components in the facility.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and machinery with or without the aid of blueprints, operations manuals or schematics.

Your profile:

• Knowledge of all mechanical equipment, installation, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of maintenance hand tools and shop equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical equipment (ie: micrometers, calipers, metal gauges, metal thickness)
• Knowledge of oxygen acetylene equipment and welding equipment
• Ability to assemble, disassemble, and overhaul hydraulic pumps, relief valves, regulating valves, filters, lines, actuating cylinders, and motors
• Ability to fit and adjust chains and sprockets for drive units

Hours:

December – May (Off-season)

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

May – December ( Pack Season)

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM OR

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Rotation: 6 days on / 1 day of
