Job summary

Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, is seeking an Electrician in Gainesville, TX to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in our industrial manufacturing environment. You will read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, AC-DC drives and relay logic, perform control panel wiring, and support preventive maintenance while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or electrical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read schematics and perform basic math and measurements.
• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance in industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, AC-DC drives and relay logic systems.
• Perform control panel troubleshooting and wiring.
• Instruct co-workers on PLC, VFD and AC-DC drive logic.
• Use a volt meter; check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors and AC-DC systems.
• Assist maintenance with rebuilds, shutdowns and installations.
• Follow safety requirements and perform daily maintenance sheets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot PLC, VFDs, AC-DC drives and relay logic systems.
• Perform control panel troubleshooting and wiring.
• Instruct co-workers on PLC, VFD and AC-DC drive logic.
• Use a volt meter; check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors and AC-DC systems; troubleshoot circuits.
• Assist maintenance with rebuilds, shutdowns and installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend changes.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Assist departments with breakdowns.
• Follow safety requirements.
• Perform daily maintenance sheets.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree/electrical certification or equivalent experience.
• Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills
• 3-5 years of hands-on mechanical/electrical maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.

Physical Requirements:

• Move around obstacles, access lift trucks, wear PPE, use ladders, work on the plant floor for 8-12 hours, and work around hot machinery, noise and weather conditions.
• Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.

The compensation for this position is typically start at $30.00 hr.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
