Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Electrical Virtual Design & Construction Engineer to join our data center team. You will design, model, and coordinate VDC systems, create 3D/4D simulations, and collaborate with preconstruction and field teams to streamline workflows.

You will lead clash resolution, produce shop drawings, manage RFI visuals, and help implement new software and standards while ensuring schedules and documentation stay current.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a construction role supporting VDC (preferred).
• Knowledge of NEC code is required.
• LEAN principles experience is desirable.
• Data center experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Electrical Shop, DFI, and DFMA drawings.
• Provide quantity takeoff, BOMs and schedules from BIM/3D models.
• Collaborate with preconstruction and field teams to streamline workflows.
• Assist with execution plans, RFIs, visuals, and schedule phasing.
• Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings to completion.
• Support with technology-enabled problem solving and collaboration.
• Provide onsite project engineering for BIM projects and oversee field installation accuracy.
