Job summary

Base is building a next-generation power platform and is hiring a Validation Technician to create the test infrastructure for hardware and software validation. You will build benches for low-voltage signals and high-voltage power, document every build, and help scale our test capacity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You’ll work closely with engineering to decide when to fabricate in-house or outsource, ensuring reliability as the fleet grows and tests run around the clock.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience wiring harnesses, including cutting, stripping, labeling, and documenting work.
• Experience building both low-voltage signal harnesses and 240/480V power circuits.
• Experience designing or fabricating enclosures, mounting brackets, or racking systems.
• Comfort with power tools and fabrication equipment of all kinds.
• Team-first mentality with problem-solving mindset; proactive prioritization over blame.
• 1–3 years in electrical work, fabrication, motorsports, aerospace, or similar hands-on role; apprenticeships count.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire test benches and fixtures, from signal-level harnesses to 240/480V power circuits.
• Document every build so stations can be replicated quickly as capacity grows.
• Design and fabricate enclosures, mounting brackets, and racking systems built to run continuously, 24/7.
• Decide when to fabricate in-house vs. outsource, and ensure proper build quality.
• Keep test systems running and ready for engineering and automated testing, 24/7.
• Follow wiring schematics and match workmanship, safety, and inspection standards.
