Job summary

DTE Energy in Toledo seeks an experienced Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of utility assets at the Toledo Assembly Complex, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

This role serves as site operations leader and primary electrical SME, providing guidance on medium-voltage distribution, switching, troubleshooting, and emergency response, without performing electrical design.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising operation and maintenance of utility systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial electrical distribution up to 15 kV.
• Ability to lead unionized teams.
• Strong budget, vendor oversight and customer expectations.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, reliable operation of customer-owned utility assets.
• Lead site personnel and liaison with customer leadership.
• Develop reliability and maintenance strategies.
• Provide technical guidance as site Electrical SME.
• Coordinate with contractors during electrical failures.
• Manage schedules, time reporting, and operational reporting.
