QPS Employment Group is seeking a detail-oriented Tester Technician for our Richmond, IL manufacturing team. The role performs functional and quality tests on electrical equipment to ensure products meet standards, with a 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and occasional overtime.

Duties include conducting electrical and mechanical tests, recording results, troubleshooting defects, maintaining test gear, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment and safety procedures.
• Able to read schematics and follow procedures.
• Detail oriented with good documentation abilities.
• Capable of repetitive testing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on equipment, components, and assemblies.
• Record test results accurately in logs or digital systems.
• Troubleshoot defects or failures identified during testing.
• Perform repetitive tests and maintain testing quality throughout the day.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve product issues.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration is up-to-date.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
• Assist with inventory and handling of test materials as needed.
• Perform 10–30 tests per day; occasional overhead work up to 10–20%.
