Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Tester I for our Sumter, SC facility on a 1st shift (M-F, 6am-2:30pm). The role tests switchboard products, verifies wiring, and programs controllers to ensure timely order fulfillment and quality adherence.

Salary is $26.00/hour with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Responsibilities include electrical testing with hi-pot and other devices, maintaining documentation, and training production staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in electronics/mechatronics or military tech equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year electrical testing experience or related work.
• Wiring experience on switchboards or power distribution products.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Test switchboard and panelboard products per instructions and regulations.
• Use testing devices to verify switches, circuit breakers, and wiring.
• Ensure documentation reflects current revisions and discard outdated docs.
• Maintain necessary product literature with jobs.
• Record nonconformances and communicate issues for corrective action.
• Identify suspect products to prevent misuse and train production staff.
