U.S. Electrical Testing in Jackson, MS seeks a skilled field service technician to lead inspection, testing and startup of low and medium voltage gear in field and shop settings.

You will interpret schematics, run protective relay tests, and perform transformer and switchgear work while traveling regionally and nationally; occasional international travel is preferred. Qualifications

• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Proficient in testing protective relays, switchgear and transformers.
• Experience with high/medium voltage testing and arc flash awareness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead projects onsite and in-house, managing documentation from order to invoice.
• Perform testing on low/medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays and motor control centers.
• Maintain safety, control costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct professional test reporting and client stand-up/start-up activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure efficient commissioning.
