Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Electrical Tester to inspect and test assembled equipment, troubleshoot issues from schematics, and use tools including volt meters. You may support multiple lines and work off-shift or weekends with overtime as needed.

The role requires safe handling around live low/high voltage, collaboration with engineers, and a focus on quality while meeting customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills and read/write English for instructions.
• Completion of basic Safety Orientation
• Good verbal communication and analytical/problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical maintenance and electrical work and understand how parts relate.
• Braze when required and read schematics to troubleshoot issues.
• Read schematics and use tools like Volt Meter, Hipot and Calipers.
• Support multiple work stations and maintain high-volume throughput.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to quality objectives.
• Provide technical support on assigned projects and on-site if needed.
