Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids is seeking an Electrical Tester to join the team. The role involves testing equipment after assembly, troubleshooting unit issues by reading schematics and using tools such as a volt meter, hipot and calipers.

The job may require off-shift and weekend work and overtime, with collaboration across engineering, management and lead technicians to maintain line flow. Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, the ability to read/write English for work orders, and

Qualifications

• Basic math skills; read decimals and fractions for measurement.
• Read and write English for assembly directions, work orders and safety instructions.
• Completion of basic Safety Orientation.
• Good verbal communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented and organized; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to learn more than 1 station.

Responsibilities

• Must work with electrical systems including electronics and wiring schemes.
• Ability to braze components.
• Read schematics and use volt meter, hipot and calipers for troubleshooting.
• Support multiple lines; overtime/weekend work may be required.
• Provide technical support to customers on assigned projects.
• Follow and promote safety policies on site.
