Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids is seeking an electro-mechanical technician to test equipment after assembly, read schematics, troubleshoot, and support multiple production lines. You will work around live voltages and collaborate with engineers and lead techs to maintain flow.

This role requires electrical safety knowledge, basic mechanical maintenance, and the ability to read diagrams. Overtime and weekend work may be required; a team-oriented, safety-conscious attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good knowledge and experience in basic mechanical maintenance, electronics, wiring schemes and electrical work and how they work together.
• Ability to braze.
• Must have great knowledge in electrical safety.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics and use tools such as a Volt Meter, Hipot and Calipers.
• Basic programming skills is preferred.
• Good verbal communication and excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
• Must have the ability to keep up with high volume in a fast-moving environment.
