Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the engineering or testing of power distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of power distribution components (Breakers, relays, communication devices).
• Experience in a fast paced production environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
• Authorized applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect low voltage switchboards and panel boards to applicable standards.
• Use multimeter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit builds to ensure accurate wiring and operation.
• Use Hipot, test cart, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing.
• Use specialized software for testing/inspecting (Siemens WinPM, PowerConfig, Step7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible, SAP).
• Perform inspections/audits of electromechanical assemblies.
• Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
• Assist in training other specialists and employees as the need arises.
• Participate in best practice sharing with other facilities.
• Maintain and improve test procedures and documentation.
