Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join our Fort Worth, TX team. This role focuses on testing and inspecting low-voltage switchgear and related assemblies to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.

You will use multimeters, Hipot equipment, and Siemens software such as WinPM, Step 7, and SAP to verify wiring and performance. The position requires flexibility for weekend shifts and overtime as needed, with a strong emphasis on documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of exposure to electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality of high‑custom and sophisticated products for Electrical Products; testing and inspecting Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboards to applicable standards (i.e. UL1558, UL891, IEEE, etc)
• Use multimeter and electronic theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure accurate wiring and operation.
• Use Hipot, test card, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing.
• Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (i.e. Siemens WinPM, Step 7, MicroWin, WinC Flexible, SAP, etc.)
• Perform inspections/audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
