Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the HIL & Electronics Automated Test (H.E.A.T) team in Electrical Engineering product support. The successful candidate will instrument PCBAs, assemble test fixtures, and troubleshoot test systems to support development and testing of firmware.

You’ll work on assembling test fixtures, repairing assemblies, and operating rework equipment as part of a dynamic, low-volume/high-mix environment.

Qualifications

  • Associated degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience with mechanical/electrical principles and test equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and MS Office tools.
  • Capable of lifting and manipulating 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble test fixtures and prototype electronics for test and evaluation in a low volume/high mix environment.
  • Repair and rework assemblies to support prototype development and testing.
  • Operate soldering iron, microscope, and hot air pencil.
  • Run tests with various lab equipment and software.
  • Collect data and prepare thorough reports of results with recommendations.
  • Contribute to maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory.

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our HIL & Electronics Automated Test (H.E.A.T) team in Electrical Engineering product support. The successful candidate will instrument PCBAs, assemble test fixtures, and troubleshoot test systems to support development and testing of our firmware.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Assemble test fixtures and prototype electronics for test and evaluation in a low volume / high mix environment including PCBAs and wiring.
  • Repair and rework assemblies as needed to support prototype development and testing.
  • Operate electronics rework equipment: soldering iron, microscope, hot air pencil.
  • Operate various lab equipment such as power supplies and meters.
  • Perform tests using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques.
  • Collect data through various equipment and software programs.
  • Prepare thorough, timely, and accurate reports of test results and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in the overall maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory.
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology or in lieu of a degree, High School diploma accompanied by 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with mechanical & electrical principles, test equipment, product life/performance test procedures and methods.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and consistently deliver to a deadline.
  • Computer skills needed to navigate MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Capability to lift and manipulate 30lbs.
