Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the HIL & Electronics Automated Test team. You will instrument PCBAs, assemble test fixtures, and troubleshoot test systems to support firmware development on fast-moving projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with PCBAs, SMT/PTH rework, and a solid grasp of test equipment. Opportunity to contribute to innovative electrical engineering work in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or HS diploma with 2+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble test fixtures and prototype electronics for test and evaluation in a low volume / high mix environment including PCBAs and wiring.
• Repair and rework assemblies as needed to support prototype development and testing.
• Operate SMT rework equipment: soldering iron, microscope, hot air pencil.
• Maintain proficiency in SMT and PTH assembly and rework.
• Operate lab equipment: power supplies, oscilloscopes, meters.
• Perform tests using electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques.
• Collect data through equipment and software programs.
• Prepare thorough, timely, accurate reports of test results and recommendations.
• Participate in maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory.
