Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is seeking a Test Technician to lead and perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment. You will work in the field and shop, travel regionally and nationally as needed, and ensure safety and quality on every project.

You will diagnose issues, test transformers, relays, switchgear, and protective devices using Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke equipment, and document results for client review.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally; international travel preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Experience with protective relays, breakers, transformers, switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead and support multiple projects onsite and in‑house with documentation.
• Test low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and equipment.
• Maintain detailed test reports and client documentation for compliance.
• Travel as needed and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote teamwork and safety.
