Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is seeking an experienced technician to lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and startup of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and shop environments.

Responsibilities include coordinating projects onsite and in-house, testing breakers, transformers, relays, and switchgear with specialized test equipment, and ensuring safety compliance. Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent hands‑on experience in electrical testing.
Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house utilizing company software systems.
Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and other electrical equipment.
Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing appropriate control measures.
Travel to customer sites as needed and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient system commissioning and startup.
