Job summary

PG&E is seeking an entry-level Electric Unit Technician in Danville to support field and lab testing activities. You will work with Electrical Engineers and ATS team members to perform tests, assist with investigations, and help with failure analysis. This role provides hands-on engineering experience and a path toward Engineering Technician II.

Travel between 10% and 75% is required. The work includes high voltage and high current lab testing, setting up fixtures, and maintaining test

Qualifications

• AA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent with lab procedures emphasis.
• Basic knowledge of electrical testing techniques and test equipment.
• 2+ years of experience as an Electrician or Electric Technician is desired.

Responsibilities

• Travel to PG&E facilities to perform field testing and measurements.
• Support lab testing activities and assist with equipment investigations and failure analysis.
• Operate and set up test fixtures and test yard/labs.
• Maintain lab and test equipment calibration.
