Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks entry-level Electric Unit Technicians to perform field testing, support lab activities, and assist with investigations and failure analyses. Work is onsite at Danville with significant travel.

Compensation follows the local collective bargaining agreement and reflects hourly pay ranges for the role. The position trains toward Engineering Technician II with a focus on electrical testing, lab procedures, and fixture setup within ATS Electric Unit.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent with lab procedures.
• Basic knowledge of electrical testing techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work safely around electrical hazards and follow ATS procedures.
• 2+ years as Electrician or Electric Technician or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and measurements at PG&E facilities.
• Assist with high voltage lab testing and failure analysis.
• Fabricate and set up test fixtures and manage labs.
• Travel 10%–75%; work independently or in two-person teams.
