Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for the 3rd shift to validate performance, safety, and reliability of transformers, switchgear, and power system components. You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams, using advanced testing equipment, analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2–4 years of electrical testing experience, an associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of electrical testing experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Experience with testing equipment listed (multimeters, oscilloscopes, HIPOT, power analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical tests on transformers, switchgear, and power components.
• Interpret schematics and blueprints to support testing and troubleshooting.
• Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment.
• Analyze and document test results, recording findings and deviations.
• Investigate failures with root-cause analysis and coordinate with engineering/manufacturing for corrective actions.
• Calibrate and verify testing equipment for accuracy and compliance.
• Support quality objectives and continuous improvement in testing standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; communicate status to stakeholders.
