Job summary

EPC Power Corp. is seeking a Test Technician on the 3rd shift to join the design and development team for power conversion systems.

You will set up tests, follow specifications, document results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electronics production testing, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related electronics production test experience in a manufacturing or test lab.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic principles of electrical, electronic theory or power electronics.
• Working knowledge of RF test equipment and familiarity with a wide variety of test equipment.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wire schematics.
• Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
• Commitment to high quality standards.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate testing requirements, some weekends as needed.
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to create, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions is a must.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety requirements.
• Proficient in standard and metric systems.
• Strong computer literacy skills, knowledgeable of MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests and document testing process and outcomes.
• Follow laboratory procedures and test specifications accurately.
• Ensure tests are performed per published specifications.
• Assemble tools and test equipment per written specs.
• Set up and perform tests per industry and company standards.
• Maintain knowledge of test standards and instrumentation.
• Observe and record test progression and results.
• Document data for each project.
• Assist with troubleshooting and development modifications.
• Identify instrumentation needing calibration and ensure proper calibration.
• Apply 5S principles to maintain clean, safe work area.
• Adhere to safety, health and quality policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
