Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for the 1st shift in Sussex, WI to perform system tests, analyze failure modes, and conduct minor repairs while maintaining records and coordinating with engineering. The role requires an associate degree in a related field, NFP70EMV certification, and 2 years of product testing experience.

SAP/ERP experience and strong problem‑solving skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Power, High Voltage, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• NFP70E Medium Voltage certification and NEC Training within 30 days of start.
• Minimum 2 years of product testing in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety, quality policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean work environment and 5S standards.
• Test products, models, and subassemblies per procedures and instructions.
• Interpret schematics/drawings to test products properly.
• Perform low/medium voltage tests up to 10kV on floor/production areas.
