Job summary

Generac is seeking an Engineering Technician I to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests of current and new product designs under close supervision. You will help define test requirements and contribute to improvements to reduce defects.

Responsibilities include setting up test equipment, running tests on prototypes and existing products, documenting measurements, and supporting manufacturing with troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products per procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing and competitor products.
• Use mechanical, electrical, and electronic measuring devices.
• Accurately interpret and document measurements.
• Assemble and fabricate test equipment per blueprints.
• Follow guidelines for bill of materials.
• Support manufacturing through troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain test documentation and database records.
• Prepare formal and informal test reports.
• Assist with 5S and audit activities in the Engineering Lab.
