Position Description

The Test Technician will implement test methods, operate test equipment, and lead testing of new and standard products with minimal supervision. We seek a detail-oriented, dependable individual to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC power and control circuits up to 480V.
• Perform repairs on control, power, and fiber optic assemblies, including crimping and routing.
• Program electronic devices and interface with computers.
• Complete test reports and documentation.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or at least 2 years of experience in the power industry.
• Proficiency with voltmeters and ammeters.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with hand tools and electrical PPE.
• Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out and safety procedures.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and file management.

Preferred

• Experience in electrical parts assembly/wiring.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Use of measurement tools.
• Documentation and communication skills.
• Some programming knowledge is a plus.
