Position Description:

The Test Technician will be responsible for implementing test methods, utilizing test equipment, executing test procedures and software, and leading testing of new and standard products. The role involves operating various test instruments with limited supervision. We seek a detail-oriented, dependable, and intelligent individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and test electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakers.
2. Troubleshoot AC and DC power/control circuits up to 480V.
3. Perform repairs on control, power, and fiber optic assemblies, including crimping and routing.
4. Program electronic devices and interface with computers and software.
5. Complete test reports and documentation via computer and paperwork.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a minimum of 2 years experience in the power industry.
• Proficient with voltmeters and ammeters.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with hand tools and electrical PPE.
• Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and electrical safety standards.
• Computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Word, and file management.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with electrical parts assembly and wiring.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Use of measurement tools.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Programming knowledge is a plus.
