Job summary

Danfoss Drives in Loves Park, IL is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to design, develop, and deploy automated production test systems for drives, power electronics, and PCB assemblies.

You will partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new product introductions, troubleshoot test hardware and software, and analyze production data to improve yield and product quality, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; some experience in automated test systems, controls, PLCs, or production equipment preferred
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex technical problems independently
• Experience with test platforms (e.g., NI LabVIEW, TestStand) and programming languages such as C# or C++

Responsibilities

The Impact You'll Make

As a Test Engineer at Danfoss Drives, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality power electronics and variable frequency drive products to customers around the world. Your work ensures every product meets rigorous performance and reliability standards before it leaves the factory. You’ll design and support automated test systems that enable efficient, scalable manufacturing. By combining engineering expertise with data-driven insights, you’ll directly influence product quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000- $90,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
