Danfoss GmbH in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help design the electrical heart of off-highway vehicles. You will lead development of complete electrical and control systems, from concept through testing in our state‑of‑the‑art labs and on real vehicles.

This role requires a hands‑on engineer with 3+ years of experience in low and high voltage systems, a bachelor’s in engineering, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience.
• Expertise in low-voltage control systems, including schematics and automotive connectors.
• Experience with high-voltage systems up to 1200 VDC, including VFDs, motors and power converters.
• Hands-on problem-solver with familiarity with mobile and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the complete electrical and control systems—from low- to high-voltage—for next-generation off-highway vehicles.
• Take designs from concept to reality by building, installing, and testing in labs and on test vehicles.
• Act as a system integration expert, supporting new product development and customer applications.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor to guide engineers in solving challenges.
• Champion safety and SOP improvements for high-voltage systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop the completeelectrical and control systems—from low‑voltage controls to high‑voltage powertrains—for next‑generation off‑highway vehicles.
• Take your designs from concept to reality, collaborating with a talented team tobuild, install, and testyour systems in our advanced labs and on test vehicles.
• Act as a keysystem integration expert, supporting new product development and working with customers to apply our technology in innovative ways.
• Serve as atechnical leader and mentor, sharing your expertise and guiding other engineers as you solve complex challenges together.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, or a related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of hands‑onelectrical engineering experience
• Expertise inlow‑voltage control systems, including designing electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, automotive‑style components and connectors.
• Experience withhigh‑voltage electrical systems (up to 1200 VDC), including VFDs, electric motors, and power converters.
• A hands‑on problem‑solver with familiarity with mobile and industrial communication protocolsand experience in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

What You'll Get from Us

The range for this position is $85,000 - 140,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
