Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA is seeking an entry-level electrical technician to join the hardware development team. You will build and integrate custom electronics, wiring harnesses, and hardware for challenging R&D programs on site.

You will collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and scientists to prototype multi-domain architectures, test assemblies, and support occasional off-site field tests. A associate degree and four years of relevant experience preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certifications in electronics or related field.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in wire harness building, crimping terminations, and over-mold/back-shell processes.
• Experience defining electrical wiring interfaces and cable drawings for power, serial, RF and fiber optic.
• Experience soldering surface mount components and using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Wiring diagram/schematic literacy.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design of custom RF and underwater payloads for unmanned vehicles.
• Develop high-channel-density ruggedized data acquisition systems for land/sea/air platforms.
• Create packaging, power, and thermal management for ultra-low power covert sensors.
• Design distributed real-time processing systems interfacing with sensor arrays.
