Job Description:
- Amentum is seeking an Electrical Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team in New Albany, Ohio, located at 1101 Beech Road SW, New Albany, OH 43054.
- Day shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating between front half and back half schedules, ensuring everyone gets a weekend off.
- Front half schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Back half schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
- Responsible for performing at an intermediate level with preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems.
- Prioritize work based on client needs, complete all tasks on time, and maintain proper documentation.
- Support site engineering teams to meet electrical needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current and future facility electrical systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and control circuits from 24V up to 480V AC, including electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation, PLCs/ladder logic controllers, and VFDs.
- Work safely near or around 13.8K voltage.
- Support electrical expansion projects.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair critical infrastructure systems such as servers, network equipment, PLCs, access control, alarms, and SCADA systems.
- Assist technicians by reading blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequences of operations; conduct system tours and assessments.
- Adhere to Federal, State, and Local electrical codes and NFPA70e standards.
- Identify and correct safety issues; perform independent equipment evaluations for potential failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in CMMS.
- Respond to work orders, provide service, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist others as needed.
- Enforce safety regulations and perform tasks following safety guidelines, including job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Operate diagnostic and measurement instruments to optimize energy efficiency.
- Use various tools and equipment such as hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
- Promote and follow Amentum Safety Structure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years’ experience as an electrician in a data center, industrial, hospital, or manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to work on aerial or scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.

- Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.
- May require working various shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.

- Wear PPE such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats.

- Experience working with chemicals, precision equipment, and regulated materials.
- Use measurement tools like micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and calibers.
