Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Technician on 2nd shift in Greenwood, SC. The role focuses on final inspection and functional testing of Eaton products prior to shipment, including developing test plans and interpreting diagrams and procedures.

You will perform electrical testing, diagnose issues, and document repairs while maintaining test equipment and ensuring safety standards are met. Eligible for a variable incentive program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Relocation is not offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect panels, assemblies, and components.
• Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and supervisory teams.
• Validate customer orders for accuracy and completeness; support customer inspectors during testing and inspection processes.
• Recommend improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, and testing methods; ensure changes are completed.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, test documentation, and inspection records.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, PPE requirements, hygiene standards, and housekeeping practices.
