Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Omaha, NE is seeking an Electrical Technician I to join our team. This role focuses on final inspection, functional testing, and documentation of test results to verify product readiness for shipment.

You will create test plans, conduct electronic and electrical tests, follow schematics, and troubleshoot issues with Engineering and Quality to ensure compliance with specifications. Strong attention to safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in power or electrical distribution.
• Preferred: 1 year schematics reading, 1 year testing energized equipment.
• Willingness to work with open and energized equipment in testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow diagrams and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing on assemblies.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Verify orders and support customer inspectors during testing and inspection.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, records, and reports.
