Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. in Tucson is seeking an Electrical Technician to wire electrical systems, assemble control panels, and install hardware for custom automated equipment. This role relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

You’ll assemble and mount components, perform in-house troubleshooting, verify components, and participate in on-site installations. You’ll also mentor apprentices and ensure safety and quality standards are met on every project.

Qualifications

• Certificate or certification as Industrial Electrician, Construction/Maintenance Electrician, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and multimeters.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites for installation and service.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and mount control panels and electrical components; wire control panels and automated machinery to meet customer requirements and standards.
• Complete control cabinet layout, wiring, and panel modifications while updating red-line drawings.
• Perform in-house electrical troubleshooting and problem solving to resolve build and integration issues.
• Verify purchased components are correct for builds and maintain inventory control of electrical parts.
• Participate in equipment tear-down, shipment, installation, and commissioning at customer sites; provide training as required.
• Lead projects by assigning tasks, mentoring apprentices, and providing team updates.
