Job summary

Daedalus Industrial is seeking an Electrical Technician, Automation to assemble and wire industrial control panels, install PLCs, and support startup and commissioning of custom automation equipment. You will interpret electrical drawings, route cabling, and ensure safety and quality in manufacturing and field environments.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70E/UL 508A, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial electrical or automation experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with control components, sensors, motors, drives.
• Proficiency with electrical hand tools and test equipment.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and UL 508A practices preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire industrial control panels per drawings.
• Install and terminate PLCs, I/O, drives, relays, safety devices.
• Route power, control, and cabling on machines.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform point-to-point verification and electrical checkout.
• Troubleshoot wiring and components during fabrication and commissioning.
• Support installation, startup, FAT and SAT activities.
• Document field modifications and communicate changes.
• Identify material shortages and constructability issues.
• Maintain safety and workmanship standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians.
