Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks an Electrical Technician to operate, maintain, and repair building electrical systems and related equipment. You will follow BVHS procedures, inspect and service high/low voltage circuits, and support building monitoring and safety programs.

This role requires a high school education with 5+ years of field experience, Ohio Fire License eligibility, and strong tool and electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years related field experience.
• Holds or will achieve Ohio Fire License with ongoing training.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read manuals and drawings.
• General knowledge of HVAC and fire alarm systems.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of electricity and mechanical equipment.
• Willing to work any shift; shifts may rotate.
• Valid driver’s license and fleet policy compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to address age-specific patient care considerations (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to BVHS policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develops processes to ensure continual electrical service delivery.
• Maintains electrical equipment including high/low voltage circuits.
• Sizes wires and connectors; maintains 480V switchgear.
• Oversees installation of electrical components; applies NEC rules.
• Operates computerized building monitoring systems.
• Performs electrical and mechanical duties as required.
• Maintains hospital communication systems.
• Assesses and maintains the architectural structure of the facility.
• Responds to emergencies, codes, fire, and disasters.
• Performs related duties as required.
