Job summary

Schneider Electric is launching a Digital Engineering Application/Technician Development Program in Franklin, Tennessee. The program targets individuals with a two-year technical degree and hands-on electrical, networking, and software experience.

It includes six months of training in Franklin before moving into an Associate System Commissioning Specialist role across the United States. Relocation assistance is provided for both the training program and final assignment locations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Electrical Power Systems, Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience installing software or operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience connecting devices or troubleshooting communications across a network.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-80%, depending on final assignment location.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate within the United States following completion of the training program.

Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment, configuration, and commissioning of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for data centers and commercial/industrial customers.
  • Install, customize, and troubleshoot monitoring and control software used in electrical power distribution systems.
  • Configure communications between devices and networks while troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and system documentation to support project execution.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineers, contractors, and end users during construction and commissioning activities.
  • Perform system startup, testing, customer training, and documentation of completed projects.
  • Assist customers in defining system requirements and optimizing system performance.
