Dorsey College is seeking an Adjunct Electrical Technician Instructor for the Michigan campus. The role involves delivering lectures and hands-on labs, ensuring students gain practical skills for a career in the electrical trade, and aligning with college policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, teaching NEC and safety, and supporting enrollment and student success. Prior teaching is helpful; formal experience is valued and paid on a contractual, part-time basis.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of electrical trade experience.
• Completion of a recognized electrical trade program is helpful but not required.
• Prior teaching/mentoring experience is helpful but not required.
• Relevant industry certifications or credentials.
• Background check completed per policy.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver classroom lessons and labs using the approved outline.
• Demonstrate electrical techniques, NEC, and safety practices.
• Prepare materials and a safe, organized lab; inspect equipment and report problems.
• Evaluate student work and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with campus teams on enrollment, retention and job placement.
• Maintain current trade knowledge and pursue professional development.
