Hines is seeking a Senior Director of Electrical Engineering to serve as Owner’s representative for development and construction projects. You will lead electrical design, coordinate consultants, manage budgets, and ensure code compliance and quality across large commercial and mixed‑use assets.

You will advise on power distribution, lighting, life-safety and related systems, collaborate with architects and MEP teams, and oversee commissioning and turnover while building lasting relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in progressive electrical design, preconstruction, construction, or real estate development.
• Experience with large commercial office, mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, logistics or institutional projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution, lighting, life-safety systems and codes.
• Ability to evaluate drawings, specs, calculations for cost and constructability.

Responsabilités

• Serve as electrical technical advisor and Owner’s representative for development and capital projects.
• Advise on power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, and management; review budgets and specs.
• Participate in bids, scopes, procurement, and value-engineering options.
• Visit sites to assess installation quality and support commissioning.
